Men’s Discipleship Program
Mission Statement
Within the framework of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Men’s “Turning Point” Program seeks to promote the personal wholeness and self-sufficiency of adult men by ministering to their spiritual, emotional, educational, vocational, and physical needs. By identifying and addressing these issues, we endeavor to equip residents to achieve spiritual recovery and maintain self-sufficiency.
The short-term “Turning Point” Program is for 90 program days. It’s purpose is to create a safe environment where men can learn tools and strategies to break the cycle of homelessness and helplessness and understand the personal triggers that cause relapse into addictions. The short-term program does not replace the long-term program, rather it can be used independently or as a stepping stone to further healing through the long-term program.
Goals
To meet the spiritual, social, cognitive, emotional and psychological needs of men entering the long-term Program.
To ensure their relationship with Christ, build them up and equip them to be witnesses in the Kingdom of God.
To meet the basic physical and nutritional needs of each man in the program.
To refer program residents to appropriate medical, legal, housing and vocational services outside the Mission when appropriate.
