City Mission of Schenectady does not receive any government funds. We depend entirely upon the contributions of concerned individuals, churches and businesses. Because we are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, all contributions to City Mission are tax deductible.

As shown in the 2010 Functional Expenses Chart, over 80% of your donations are used to fund programs and services. Last year, City Mission provided 32,919 nights of lodging and 161,949 nutritious meals along with many other programs and services for those in need (See our Directory of Services for more details).

City Mission is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM).  City Mission has also recieved a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.  Note: External websites may not contain most recent data.

In addition to monetary donations, You may also donate to our thrift stores. Or, if you would like to donate an automobile, 70% of the net proceeds will benefit City Mission.
